This is a 50 watt mini wind turbine. It’s maximum output under perfect test conditions is 50 watts DC voltage (25 vdc x 2 amps). It was designed for LOW wind areas.

Under good conditions (15- 20 mph winds) this unit will slowly charge a 12 volt battery.

The output of this unit was verified during open voltage tests and direct short amperage tests under controlled conditions.
Slip rings are not normally needed
Both the output and function of each turbine is verified before boxing. When the turbine leaves our shop it will be working perfectly.

Here’s a detailed description of the item:
The unit is very small, about 20″ long from the tip of the prop to the end of the tailfin.
It comes with a blocking diode installed so as not to discharge your battery when the wind isn’t turning the turbine.
The main beam (frame) is made of 3/4″ steel square tubing and painted black. Plastic plugs are used to cap the ends of the
turbing to give a nice, finished apperance.
The downtube (the part that slips into your mounting pole, etc.) is 1″ steel and is welded to the main beam.
The tail fin (which keeps it pointed into the wind) is made of inexpensive white plastic and is bolted to the main beam
with a pair of bolts.
The generator motor is solidly clamped to the main beam and will not move.
The motor cover is made of ribbed black plastic and serves no purpose at all.
5 blades (12″ each) come with this turbine. They are made from pvc plastic pipe. The plastic used may have scuff marks due to the way the manufacturer ships the pipe.
The prop hub is made from 1/8″ steel.
The unit comes 95% assembled and anyone can bolt on the tail fin and install the prop in less than 5 minutes.

With the high-quality construction of many portable basketball systems, turning your driveway into a basketball court can be as simple as hooking up your garden hose. But while a portable system may ultimately be your best choice, there are reasons you may want to consider an in-ground or wall-mount system before you decide.

In-Ground Systems
In-ground systems are permanently cemented into the ground–either via a bolt mounting kit or directly into the ground–and are generally more rigid and take up less space than portables. In-ground systems often require that you hire a professional to complete the task, but when the cement dries you’ll have a hoop that can take punishing dunks with ease.

Many in-ground systems are height-adjustable, include removable post features that let you take the system down for off-season storage, and feature heavy-duty breakaway rims. You’ll also want to research the adjustable mechanisms on the systems, as there are several types to choose from. Some feature a counter-balance spring that lets you perform easy, one-hand adjustments while others may feature a sturdy, pneumatic system.

Key Component of a Solar System Over 15 Watts

A charge controller is a very important feature of a solar system and must be used on all systems over 15 Watts. A charge controller protects your batteries from overcharge and discharge. Charge controllers are the maintenance free protection of your solar panel and batteries.

A charge controller monitors the battery’s state-of-charge to insure that when the battery needs change-current, it gets it, and also insures the battery isn’t overcharged.
